Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine, a singer-composer well-known for his distinct mixture of soul gospel, R&B as well as R&B. Her career path has taken her from Broadway to European festivals and clubs to even the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's real title is Denise White. Though she lives in Atlanta, she originates from Chester Pennsylvania where she began music by performing as well as playing the piano at church. Her musical career began in Atlanta in Spellman College. The Fighting Temptations The single that featured her vocals, Stalk You A House 12, was released only in Japan. It's been remixed several times, and it is a mainstay of her live show. She has also contributed her voice on The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She was appointed as the main keyboardist of Tyler Perry's stage play Meet the Browns in 2005. In 2007 Grammy and Tony award-winning vocalist Jennifer Holliday sought her out to become the choral director for the theatrical production of Dreamgirls during the National Black Arts Festival in Atlanta. Sunshine came to national notice during the four shows at the 2008 Democratic National Convention and was later invited to sing during President Barack Obama's inauguration in 2009.
